Job Title: Freelance Marketing, Communications & Event Planning

What do you love about marketing and/or your job?
Freelance work is flexible and allows me to take on as many or as few projects as I want, and it gives me a chance to interact with adults and use my brain. After spending long days with a toddler - adult interaction and brain use is critical to my sanity.

What made you want to get involved with AMA?
Networking! I have only been a member of the Omaha chapter for a few months and have met some great folks already.

October Volunteer of the Month

Nikki Bruner

Congratulations to Nikki Bruner, our Volunteer of the Month! Nikki was responsible for coordinating our Margaritas & Marketing event on September 22, 2011 at Cantina Laredo for the Programming Committee. The night was a wonderful success thanks to her efforts.

The Programming Committee was very pleased with Nikki's contributions. She really took the ball and rolled with it for Margaritas & Marketing. She asked the necessary questions, but needed little direction to make this a successful event for AMA. Her enthusiasm to be a part of the Programming Committee and provide a high-quality networking event was refreshing and most welcome. Nikki is always coming up with new, great ideas that can benefit our chapter’s Programming efforts.

What do you love about marketing and/or your job?
I'm extremely passionate about my career in marketing and appreciate the ever-evolving and innovative elements that marketing and advertising encompass. A very rewarding aspect in my career is being part of a team and servicing my clients, while being around creativity energizes me.

What made you want to get involved with AMA?
I was new to Omaha at the time of joining AMA and was looking for an opportunity to network with other Omaha marketing professionals. I am also keen in being involved with a marketing community that I can help support.

Personal interests or facts you wouldn’t mind sharing?
I am fond of Sharpie's, sticky notes and to-do lists. I enjoy traveling, meeting new people and always have a smile on my face.
